SPRINGS

SPRINGS

Shaped metals to meet the requirements of a large range of commercial and industrial applications.

SPRING CHOICE IS HEAVILY INFLUENCED BY APPLICATION PARAMETERS and industry requirements. They can be manufactured from many different materials that meet international standards, including stainless steel, titanium and various alloys. Once selected, the metals are then coiled, wire-formed or stamped by presses, exerting pressures up to 400 tons, to achieve the desired shape and properties.

“Springs are found everywhere and our springs can meet the requirements of any application imagined,” says David Payunk, Product Manager for Springs at Trelleborg Sealing Solutions. “For cars and other vehicles, you will find extension springs and compression springs in the engine and interior, power springs in the seatbelts, washers and disc springs in clutches, transmissions and brakes. As you can see, the variety of springs with different characteristics means that working with a supplier such as Trelleborg Sealing Solutions enables you to source many products from one place, and receive unparalleled local and global engineering support.”

Healthcare and medical industries look to springs, such as compression springs in modern advanced prosthetic limbs, to deliver performance that people can count on. “Listening to customer requirements is essential to our business. We provide cleanroom services, enabling springs to be used in drug delivery systems, for example,” adds David.

Choices of finish and surface coatings improve performance, while advanced delivery programs ensure that the components are where you need them, when you need them.

Manufactured to the quality expected from Trelleborg Sealing Solutions, our springs incorporate world-class engineering and application experience from decades of close cooperation with customers.

“As a development partner, we provide shoulder-to-shoulder engineering services, helping our customers go from initial design all the way through to market. Where we really excel is in applying our expertise; we can provide customized solutions and aid our customers in choosing the correct springs for their applications, to meet application requirements and improve performance,” finishes David.
