Automated Manufacturing of Silicone Components for High quality, cost-effective solutions

Our fully automated manufacturing process aims to provide customers with high quality, pure and cost effective solutions. We combine expertise in tool design and process engineering with the highest levels of process automation, in particular for:

  • Liquid Silicone Injection Molding (LIM)
  • Two Component Injection Molding

The need for germ- and contaminant-free components and environments is ever increasing. And, as parts become smaller, they are more sensitive to airborne particles, even those found normally in the air.

Trelleborg Healthcare & Medical manufacturing facilities are equipped with high-tech cleanrooms to support customers when medical applications require ultra-clean products. Our cleanrooms conform to ISO 14644-1 and meet stringent internal technical and operating standards in order to guarantee the highest level of quality, cleanliness, hygiene and process control.

Our tubing and hose is primarily manufactured in a controlled environment to class 100,000 conditions. We regularly monitor ambient temperature, humidity and particulate counts, as standard.

Precision LSR Tooling

Waste-less manufacturing of complex, high quality LSR parts

Building molds for liquid silicone rubber processing requires high precision. Due to the low viscosity of LSR, it is challenging to prevent flash in the tiniest of gaps. Simultaneously, product designs are increasing in complexity. LSR molds require a high level of engineering, machining and processing precision.

The Trelleborg Healthcare & Medical automated approach to LSR processing is unique. From stage one, tooling design is developed to:

  • Optimize the function of a component in the application
  • Maximize the effectiveness of automated operations

Flash-less part and tool design, waste-less process, in-process quality checks, batching by cavity and packaging are considerations that are always made.
