| Definition | A bearing strip is used in reciprocating cylinders, the function of which is to guide the piston and piston rod of a cylinder, absorbing transverse forces. At the same time, it prevents metal-to-metal contact between bore and piston or rod and rod gland, optimizing the performance of the sealing system. |
