Thrust vectoring control linkage
The customer was looking for a dry running bushing to use in a new vectoring device system. As this was a new product development, the customer turned to Trelleborg Sealing Solutions for bearing design assistance.
The design needed to incorporate linear motion with a slow controlled helical rotation.
Solution
The design engineers worked with the client to determine the primary operation objectives. As a result, HiMod® was chosen to produce a bushing that would provide outstanding life and reliability.
Result
The HiMod® bushing proved to be superior. The customer reported maintenance-free service with outstanding life and consistent operation over a wide temperature range.
