The primary function of sanitary gaskets is to seal pipe unions and joints in a sanitary fashion so that there is no dead space. These gaskets withstand extreme temperature, steam and aggressive chemicals associated with Steam-in-Place (SIP) and Clean-in-Place (CIP) regimes.

Sanitary gaskets come in a variety of sizes, including mini, standard, larger and metric. They are available in NBR, EPDM, FKM, PTFE, VMQ, FFKM, PTFE filled materials with Stainless Steel and sometimes special configurations such as bonded envelope gaskets.
